Khedira - The missing link in Evolving Arsenal....

Right, the frame is up and locked into place, tarpaulin is on and fixed, I think it's d.....Oh hello there, sorry to be so distracted, I'm just setting my stall up early.....

This is not a declaration of #ITK status. I have no insider knowledge, it's arguable if I have ANY knowledge. I find out things at the same time as everyone else and have no 'resources' other than a semi-sound mind.

This latest installment is my own personal view on a player that, according to the majority, seems to be rather enticingly close to signing for us. I feel that, even though you haven't asked for my tuppence worth to be repeatedly thrust under your nose like a pervert with a nostril fetish, I must at least try to address the situation in my own inimitable, bliithering style.

Sami Khedira, Ladies and Gents. Much has been said of the ilk of player we are being linked to, and indeed signing, in comparison to only a couple of years ago. For every Doyle and Dann, we now get a Sanchez and Khedira. A rather large disparity.

A name bandied around more often than a Tottenham commemorative DVD release is Schneiderlin. I rate him highly and would still be happy with his addition but I will offer this nugget of wisdom from my @Goonersphere comrade @thedanielcowan. Schneiderlin was recommended to Southampton by Wenger which prompted the Saints to sign him. He was aware of him that long ago and could've signed him for a pittance of the price currently rattling around the rumour mill. Surely if Arsene thought he could be the answer to our midfield conundrum then he would have made his move earlier, thus getting him a year younger and soothing the financial side of his brain? I don't know why Arsene passed on him, I thought he was immense last season, but that is why he is the Manager and I'm sitting on my couch tapping away on a laptop. With a bag of Monster Munch Roast Beef.

I've been a fan of Khedira since his move to Madrid.Beforehand, whilst he plied his trade at Stuttgart, he was a name that I had heard of but had no idea of him.His move to Real thrust the hirsute German under the spotlight.
