Analyzing Arsenal's needs, squad options and players
Main thing with us is to solve our injury issues and I believe that we have done it after the investigation that went on during the last few weeks and we know that the problem is in our fitness coaches and the players’ rehabilitation. We are just 2 world class players away from being a title winning team, a defensive midfielder and a left winger.
I know you’ll ask me who I want this summer, I’ll be honest and realistic once again, I’ve settled and I want these players in this summer:
GK: Ruddy
CB: Caulker
RB: [Aurier*]
DMF: Schneiderlin [backup options: Gonalons/Bender/Martinez]
LW: Griezmann/Sanchez/Pedro
CF: Remy as 2nd option plus Vela or Eto’o as back-ups.
Another thing that won’t surprise me is if we end up signing Remy plus one of Balotelli or Mandzukic this summer but in that case we won’t sign a world class left winger, instead Remy will play there more often. Honestly, I’d take Remy as our LW and Balotelli to rotate with Giroud more often in crucial periods. There’s also another problem with our fans and it’s a big one, few set their expectations high up in the sky due to the reported budget we have this summer and then when their wishes don’t come true they blame it all on the manager. In order for that not to happen they need, and every Arsenal fan needs, to be realistic. Arsene always does his business under the radar and no one can predict his transfers. One more thing please don’t put your hopes up high for a world class CF as we don’t need one, we just need one or two additional back up, rotational options upfront to help/play and rotate with Giroud and we are good.
