Arsenal Looking At Three German DMs
Arsenal have been looking for a defensive midfielder since letting go of Gilberto and have seen the likes of Flamini, Denilson, Song and Arteta try and ultimately fail to live up to the standards of the Invincible. Song for a while looked as though he could scale to those heights but fell drastically once he fancied himself as an attacking midfielder. Flamini left just before his prime and spent most of it injured, Denilson was never appreciated nor afforded the time to develop in a squad full of young players and whilst Arteta has performed best out of these pretenders to the throne he is not a long term solution.
The Gunners' search for a successor has seen them linked with almost every name going but here is the definitive list and likeliness of the deal.
The Premier League Ready Solution

Premier League experience cannot be underestimated yet far too often it is overestimated. Morgan Schneiderlin is a favourite potential target for many Arsenal supporters for his outstanding performances for Southampton and whilst he could easily be the next Arteta in the sense of being able to make the step up with consummate ease, he could easily be another Liverpool type signing - impressive at a certain level but nothing more than basic Premier League class.
The only clubs linked with Schneiderlin on a regular basis are Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal. The two former clubs have a history of spending money on players lauded as the ones to elevate them to the next level but at best keep them where they are and Arsenal are linked with any defensive midfielder on the market or any French player and doubly so if they are both like Morgan.
He has been on Wenger's radar for many a year and I suspect if he was serious he would have made a move a while ago. At a reported cost of £25m I feel he may be a bit too rich for Arsenal's taste.
